Lifecycle

"Primaries" mate with "Secondaries", and actually draw genetic material out through penetration... They then implant a mixed material into the "Tertiaries", who do add a little genetic material themselves, but mostly serve as incubators. If the reverse of normal happens, and a Primary impregnates a Secondary, the result is the Tertiary, who is missing some genetic material.
